HISTORY
Buffalo Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. M.J. Bridges in 1970 and has proudly served the Buffalo community for the last 50 years. Dr. Bridges was born and raised in Buffalo, and his deep passion for animal welfare and desire to serve his east-Texas rural community are what led him to open this practice. In 1997, Dr. Russell Jonas graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and joined Dr. Bridges in practice at Buffalo Animal Hospital.
After servicing the Buffalo community together for several years, Dr. Russell Jonas purchased the practice from Dr. Bridges in January of 1999. Since then, Dr. Jonas and his team have developed long-standing relationships with the pet owners and agricultural farmers within the community.
